Congratulations to “David Locke” for winning this year’s knockout competition against Dave Cornwall.

A great final and some very tight pre-final matches were played.

Well done to everybody playing in this season’s tournament and in the preceding leagues, together with a big thank you to Tim Palmer who once again arranging the competition.  

We hope to see you all again next season for another exciting winter league competition.

CONGRATULATIONS GOES TO “RON WALLACE” FOR WINNING THIS YEAR’S COMPETITION, TOGETHER WITH A WELL DONE TO “DOREEN de SILVA” FOR BEING THE RUNNER UP.

THE COMPETITION WILL COMMENCE ONCE AGAIN AT THE START OF OCTOBER 2024.

Work to complete the new road on the A27 requires the following closures to finalise drainage, ducting and a complete surfacing of the main Eastbound carriageway.  

The closure dates are:-

FRIDAY 12 – MONDAY 15 APRIL 2024

FRIDAY 26 – MONDAY 29 APRIL 2024

FRIDAY 10 – MONDAY 13 MAY 2024

FRIDAY 7 – MONDAY 10 JUNE 2024.

Closures will be in place from 21:00 on the Friday till 6:00 on the Monday.  

The A259 is therefore the option to take eastbound, returning on the A27 Westbound.   

We are sorry to have to report that Clare Stevens lost her match 21-18 in the 1st Round,

whilst Terry Honnor’s team lost 18-8, again in the 1st Round. 

“Well Done” to Clare and Terry’s team for getting to the finals and thus keeping our club's name on the National map. 

Congratulations to David Gilbert, Jonathan Smith, Roy Bainbridge, and Terry Honnor on winning the National Over 60 Fours Area Final 19-18  against Ron Adam, Ralph Lonsdale, Jon Randall and Ralph Steele (Grattons IBC).

 They will now go to the National Finals at Nottingham IBC to play Ian Wones (Norfolk IBC) on Friday 22^nd March at 3.00pm.
