June Newsletter 

We are very pleased to be able to keep in touch with all members whether you play indoors or outdoors during the summer.

We have several events planned and would be really pleased to see as many members as possible attending including the outdoor bowlers.

Outdoor garden area off the Green Lounge

We are delighted to inform all members that youngsters from Plumpton College under the supervision of Emma, Sylvia and Bob Harman’s granddaughter, worked on a project to improve our outside area. They made planters, got a donation from Mayberry’s for plants etc, and planted them. They tidied the whole garden area and jet washed the patio. Some garden furniture and a gas BBQ have been donated by members. 

Now a lovely area where you can sit and have drinks with friends after your games.

It all looks amazing, and we are going to have an Official Garden Open Day on Sunday 21st July when we will welcome Emma and youngsters from Plumpton College to acknowledge the work they have done. We would like as many members as possible to attend. We are arranging a Table Top Sale for members and friends to have tables to sell crafts, ornaments, glassware, clothes, jewellery, plants and many more items.

Time to start clearing out those cupboards! 

Small Tables £3 each and Large Tables £6 each.

Meat Draw

Many thanks to everyone who has supported the Meat Draws and we have had many lucky winners who have enjoyed the meat they have exchanged their Meat Voucher for at Southwick Square Butchers

Please note change of time, as we were asked to start the show earlier, so that the show finished in daylight for those who do not like driving at night.

All the plans for the show are going very well. If anyone else wants to join the choir please come along next Tuesday 11th June. We are very grateful to Diane Gargano who is arranging the choir

We have singers, dancers, a comedian, a storyteller a choir,  musicians and our very own Elvis…….an evening not to miss

Any size Teams of 2-6 members

(Handicap system in place depending on numbers in each team)

Raffle Prizes

We are always looking for raffle prizes to help us raise funds at each event we arrange. If you have any unwanted bottles of drink, gift sets, biscuits, chocolates, groceries etc. which we could use to make into hampers. Please hand it at reception ASAP
